From the Ainu (ancient Japanese), this shows the devil's plan to wait on the horizon for the sun to set, then swallow it, ending life on earth. However Kamui, the Ainu creator god, creates the first crow, and sends it to fly down the devil's throat, choking him and foiling his plan. |

I'm not so fussed with Jackdaws though.. those things wake me up in the morning by squeaking outside my bedroom window... rrr.. plus it bugs me that everyone down here calls them crows! .. really there's not much comparison other than the fact that they're both black birds o.O
